Bicentennial Events for Friday

All Weekend:

• Slide Show and Time Capsule Display — Franklin Past 1975 and 2000 at the Community Center
• Keys to Franklin – Our own Scavenger Hunt – Flyers will be available at Community Center all weekend.
• Water, Coffee, Popcorn, T-Shirts, Other Stuff – Community Center – proceeds Bicentennial Committee and Playground Fund
• Friends of Taunton Bay Display – Horseshoe Crabs and Water Quality of Taunton Bay Display at the Community Center
• Town-Wide Yard Sales may be happening
• All events are at the Franklin Community Center (#1), 34 Main Street unless otherwise Noted (#2….#10) 

Friday, July 18th:

• 12:00 – 2:00 pm – Darlings Ice Cream Truck –  Voluntary Donations of Cash or checks Only
• 1:00 pm – Opening Ceremony & Playground Dedication. Light Refreshments
• Franklin Park & Playground – Officially open!!!
• 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Downeast Mexican Takeout Food Truck
• 1:30 pm – Story Time at the Community Center
• 2:00 pm – Tour at UMaine – CCAR, South Bay Road, Franklin — Starfish and Sea Anemones- Call 565-3663 to sign up.  #8
• 3:00 pm – Bicycle Decorating – bring you bikes, scooters, strollers, etc. to the Community Center. We are supplying decorations for you.  Deck out that bike for the parade on Saturday.
• 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Fannie Blaisdell Paintings Exhibit at the Franklin Historical Society with refreshments and local music! #9
• 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm – Dirigo Strings Bluegrass Band – Franklin CC Lawn
